The University of Michigan Alumnae Council (UMAC) has made significant financial contributions to benefit a wealth of programs throughout the University community. Since 1961, many of these contributions came from UMAC’s annual “Birthday Greeting” campaign. Renamed “The Spirit of 1917 Annual Campaign” in 2021 to honor the women who formed UMAC, this fundraising campaign continues the legacy of supporting programs that positively advance the interests of women in the University of Michigan community.
