Ayanna provides leadership and direction to the Alumni Association and its leadership team, leading all Board of Directors activities, alumni and student engagement, and the Association’s operations.
Angila Chapman
Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Angila oversees an annual operating budget of approximately $20 million and leads a multidisciplinary team supporting financial stewardship, operational excellence, and long-term organizational success through the areas of finance, technology, and facilities.
Rob Clendening
Vice President for Marketing and Communications

Rob leads marketing, business development, and communications for the Alumni Association. His team creates dynamic, multi-channel campaigns that connect alumni and students to Alumni Association programming and to each other. The team also serves as the premier resource for alumni storytelling, including the publication of Michigan Alum magazine.
Katie Ehnis

Katie and her team develop and execute people and culture strategy in support of the strategic direction of the Alumni Association. Additionally, the team oversees strategic planning, project operations, and the customer service function for the organization.
Shumiala Kinnear
Vice President for Strategic Engagement & Chief Development Officer

Shumiala and her team manage Alumni Association programming that strategically focuses on the conversion of constituent affinity into deep engagement and impact. Her team’s key areas of responsibility include signature events, alumni recognition, student and recent grad programs, scholarship administration, and raising philanthropic revenue for top priorities of the Alumni Association.

Dave and his team lead a wide range of broad alumni engagement initiatives, including alumni travel experiences, lifelong learning opportunities, career development programs, alumni clubs and affiliate networks, alumni student recruiters, and volunteer engagement and management.
