Entering freshmen may apply for scholarships after receiving notice of acceptance to the University. Scholarship applications should be submitted by April 1, but are accepted through May 15. First notification of awards is made in mid-April and subsequent awards, based on available funds, are made through June.
To apply, students need only provide a copy of the responses to the short-answer essay questions submitted with their Application for Admission. Awards are based on demonstrated leadership potential and financial need.
Scholarships are generally one-time awards ranging between $250 to $2,500 and are automatically credited to the student’s tuition account, half in the Fall and half in the Spring. Occasionally, grants or loans are also made to continuing students with an exceptional need. However, because the bulk of financial aid on campus is allocated to continuing students, the Club’s current emphasis is on entering freshmen.
