Your 2023 Guide to Michigan Basketball in NYC
Here’s everything you need to know about where to catch all the games and take advantage of all the deals at our great partner bars. This season, we’ll be cheering on our basketball teams at Blue Haven East and Shaffer’s, our OFFICIAL U-M Club of NYC Partner Bars. Conference games will be shown at both bars. The 2022-23 basketball schedules can be found here: Men’s and Women’s.
Both of these aMAIZEing partners make a generous donation to our scholarship fund to help NYC Wolverines attend our great university. Each time you visit these avid Michigan supporters, you are in turn supporting our local Wolverines. So bring your appetites, drinking hats, and join us for another great season of Maize and Blue Basketball! Please note both locations have outdoor space for those who prefer outside seating.

BLUE HAVEN EAST (map)

Located on 493 3rd Avenue, in New York, Blue Haven blurs the line between upscale NYC sports bar and draught beer pub, offering modern gastropub fare and a stellar selection of draught and bottled craft beers. Outdoor seating with TVs will also be available to Wolverines!
Season-long food specials: Specials will rotate throughout the season!
Drink specials include: Beer and liquor specials and bottomless brunch available before 3:00pm.
Blue Haven Reservations: The bar prefers to take table reservations throughout the season by phone (646-678-4200) or via their website. Please arrive before tip-off to secure your table!
Additional standing room in the main bar will be available on a first-come/serve basis.

SHAFFER’S (map)

Located in the heart of Chelsea and close to many subway lines, Shaffer’s offers the ultimate bar food classics and signature crafted cocktails, creating a great game-day atmosphere. Join us at our new partner bar as we cheer on the maize and blue and outdoor seating will be available if preferred.
Season-long food specials: There will be a special game-day menu each week featuring loaded dog or chili dogs with fries, nachos, quesadillas, and chicken fingers.
Drink specials include: Buckets of Bud & Bud Light and a specialty Game Day shot.
Shaffer’s Reservations: You can make a reservation through their website or by phone at (917) 409-5904. Please arrive before tip-off to secure your table!
