U-M Club of New York: President’s Welcome

Fellow NYC Wolverines:

Thank you for taking time to visit our club’s website. It is my pleasure to serve the U-M NYC community as President alongside a talented and diverse group of board and committee members.

On behalf of our team, I’d like to thank those who are members* as well as everyone who is actively involved. As we serve one of the largest University of Michigan alumni populations (11,000+) in the world, our goal is to offer an eclectic assortment of award-winning programming intended to appeal to alumni of all ages, interests and backgrounds.

To deepen your Michigan connection here in the city, our club hosts a variety of networking events within career development, community service, arts/culture/education and sports that are unique to NYC. Some of our signature events include Taste of Ann Arbor, Broadway shows with meet & greets, career panels, Wolverine Workouts, Meals on Wheels, Wolverine Wednesday, sporting events, museum tours, resume workshops and more.

We are also committed to providing support for future Wolverines from the NYC area. Each year, we proudly award high school seniors with our Gartenberg Scholarship to attend the University of Michigan. Additionally, we are establishing a LEAD Scholarship to be awarded to an African American student starting Spring 2021. Our events and your gifts generously support this scholarship and our mission to prolong the pipeline of talented and accomplished Wolverines.

If you are interested in learning more about club leadership and joining our team of amazing, dedicated volunteers, please explore our website, subscribe to our weekly newsletter, join our Facebook FanPage, Instagram, LinkedIn, follow us on Twitter, or contact us at [email protected].

We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you at future events. Go Blue!
