Games are in Central Park on Saturdays and Sundays, and the lineup for each game is formed on a first-come, first-served basis from our players on our email list. If you’d like to play, please join the list or email [email protected].

Join our running club on Strava, the Nike Run app, or our Facebook group. All levels are welcome. Please contact Shivam ([email protected]) for more information.

Other Alumni Sports:

From time to time we get asked about other athletic opportunities. The club depends on volunteers interested in the sports to assist in organizing, but it’s not hard–contact the sports committee ([email protected]) for help. If people are interested in playing but not in organizing, we can direct you to the league and tell you how to be placed with other UM alums.

Past Seasons:

The alumni club organizes various sports teams with Zogsports for each of the Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall seasons. Depending on the level of interest this typically includes Touch Football, Soccer (indoor and/or outdoor), Basketball, Dodgeball, Volleyball, and Kickball. (For more info, visit http://www.zogsports.org.) If you are interested in playing on future teams, please send a quick note to the sports committee ([email protected]).  Congratulations to the 2011 & 2012 touch football, basketball and soccer alumni squads, who claimed a number of division champions titles during this year’s ZogSports leagues (Michigan Maize touch football Division champions in Spring ’10, Fall ’10 and Spring ’11 and Division runner-up Fall ’11; Touch Football Division Champions Fall ’11; 4v4 Basketball Division Runner-Up in Summer ’10; 3v3 Basketball Division Runner-Up in Winter ’11; Outdoor soccer division champions Fall ’10, Fall ’11 and Division Runner Up Summer ’10 and Summer ’11; indoor soccer Division Runner-Up Winter ’10 and Winter ’11). ZogSports has awarded the teams a monetary prize that will go towards our local James Gartenberg Scholarship Fund, helping NYC high school students attend the University.
