VOLUNTEER TO HELP OPEN CAMP MICHIGANIA
The first Memorial Day Work Weekend at Camp Michigania took place in 1963, with a number of committed volunteers lending a hand to prepare camp for the approaching summer season. That tradition continues to this day with nearly a hundred volunteers participating each year.
Celebrate your Memorial Day weekend with other University of Michigan alumni at Camp Michigania. Spend your weekend helping with a variety of tasks that directly contribute to a successful summer. In past years, those projects have included archery repairs, landscaping, painting, sewing, and building repairs. Each year has different needs, providing a unique experience each holiday.
Camp Michigania would love to have your assistance! As a thank-you for your efforts, we invite you to stay at camp with us for the weekend, free of charge. We’ll even provide the meals!
Arrival time starts at 3 p.m. Friday; check-out time is 12 p.m. Monday. Meals and activity information will be emailed to registrants as the weekend approaches.
