Halloween at Walloon
We are excited to announce a new program for 2022. Join us from Oct. 28-30 for Halloween at Walloon!
While summer at Michigania is a treasure, you should really see it in the fall. Surround yourself with spectacular autumn colors and enjoy the crisp, cool nights — fall at Michigania is an experience you won’t forget.
This family-friendly weekend includes lodging, receptions, meals, and activities. Our program will be filled with some of your favorite Michigania activities, along with a few festive events. Special events include pumpkin carving, a costume contest, a haunted hayride, and, of course, trick-or-treating! Plus, join us for a watch party for the Michigan vs. Michigan State football game.
Fall recreational activities include ceramics, arts & crafts, hiking, horseback riding, archery, rock polishing, yoga, and campfires. Additional charges may apply in our Ceramics/Arts & Crafts area and Camp Store.
Vaulted ceilings, knotty pine paneling, and magnificent views provide a charming atmosphere. The Alumnae Council Education Center offers meeting space, comfortable lounges, and six fieldstone fireplaces. With captivating views of the surrounding wooded area, wildlife, and lake, it’s an inviting space that encourages conversation or quiet reflection. All meals are served in the Education Center dining room, featuring rustic iron chandeliers and a gracious fireplace. Guest cabins are nestled adjacent to Walloon Lake with one or two bedrooms and their own private bath and shower. Cabinmates share a spacious gathering room, convenient for a game of cards, conversation, or a quiet hour of reading.
Part of the joy of experiencing Camp Michigania in the fall is the crisp northern Michigan weather. Knowing what to pack (in addition to the suggested packing list) will ensure you get the most from your stay. Review our Fall and Winter Packing Tips and Tricks (PDF) for more information.
