Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland recently visited the U-M School for Environment and Sustainability to address how we can center justice and community-based action in our climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies. Additionally, Haaland discussed how her identity as a Native American woman influences her actions as secretary and the environmental legacy challenges that historically marginalized communities face.
