Alumni Education Gateway FAQ
What is the Alumni Education Gateway (AEG)?
The Alumni Education Gateway brings the academic resources, courses, current events, seminars, and research of the University and its faculty to global alumni in an easy-to-navigate digital format. The AEG was developed to help alumni easily access educational content that will help you continue to learn and grow. Content has been selected with U-M alumni in mind. Information for alumni anywhere about all things Michigan. Bringing the U to you.
What type of content is included?
The AEG offers a selection of content in a variety of formats. On this site, you will find articles, podcasts, videos, event listings, and courses, just to name a few. Our goal is to curate a selection of offerings that we believe will appeal to a wide alumni audience. The content lives on the website of the school, college, or unit that has created or sponsors that content. Our AEG just helps you get to it easily.
How often is content added?
Content is added to the AEG on a daily basis. Content also expires after a period of time to ensure the offerings remain timely and relevant.
I see courses are listed. How do I enroll in a course?
The AEG provides a selection of courses for your discovery. The button at the bottom of the listing will take you to the site of the school, college, or unit that is offering the course. Details about registering will be found there.
I understand there are online classes offered to alumni for free. How do I learn more?
Select courses are available to alumni for free through Michigan Online. We highlight a selection of their courses for discovery here on the AEG. Michigan Online has a robust FAQ section that answers many questions about accessing courses for free.
