Upon recently acquiring tens of thousands of reptile and amphibian specimens, including 30,000 snakes, the University of Michigan Museum of Zoology is now home to the largest research collection of snakes anywhere. According to museum curators, the additions boost the collection to about half a million specimens, including 70,000 snakes.
