Featured Guest Speaker: Former U-M President Mary Sue Coleman

Wednesday, April 29 at Laurel Manor Banquet Center

Read coverage of this event in the Northville Record.

Thank you to all who sponsored our fundraiser dinner with featured guest speaker former U-M President Dr. Mary Sue Coleman. The dinner also celebrated an exciting milestone event — the 25th anniversary of the U-M Club of Greater Northville. A silent auction raised $2000 for a scholarship fund benefiting local U-M students.

Thank you to all the businesses that donated items for our silent auction, including: Bahama Breeze (Livonia), Dancing Eye Gallery, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Zoo, Genetti’s Hole-in-the-Wall, Good Time Party Store, Hungry Howie’s Pizza (Brighton), Hyatt of Novi, La Casa (Plymouth), La Vida (Plymouth), Northville Sports Den, Novastar Solutions, Obstbaum Orchards Winery & Cider Mill, Penn Theater (Plymouth), Red Olive Restaurant (Plymouth), Sean O’Callaghan’s (Plymouth), Sparr’s Flowers & Greenhouse (Plymouth), The Henry Ford, Tipping Point Theater, Toledo Zoo, Winesforhumanity.com

During her 12 years as the university’s 13th president, and the first female in that role, Dr. Mary Sue Coleman left her mark on campus from facilities, to fundraising, to research. Time magazine named her one of the nation’s top 10 university presidents. But perhaps the Michigan community will best remember Dr. Coleman for her personal touch, and the impact she had on the lives of so many students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
