Josh Bostwick – President & Scholarship Committee
Josh grew up in Traverse City, Michigan, as the son of a Spartan. He graduated from Michigan in 2001 with a B.S. in Biology. His fondest college memory is walking on the field with hundreds of other students when Michigan defeated that school we don’t speak of in 1997. He also worked for Zingerman’s for a few years. Josh moved to Charlotte, NC, in 2007, and has enjoyed many community service projects with the Charlotte Club, including Habitat for Humanity, Charlotte Rescue Mission, and Beds For Kids. He lives in the Matthews area with his new bride.
Jeff Pulker – Vice President, Communications & Young Alumni Committee Chair
Jeff was raised by a Michigan State alumnus father in Plymouth, MI, then St. Louis, MO, then finally Franklin, MI where he graduated from Birmingham Groves High School. He graduated from Michigan with a BA in 2007 where he met his wife Stephanie — after living across the street from each other their senior year in 2006 and never meeting once until the last day of class. Jeff served as a webmaster for the Phoenix Michigan Alumni Club after graduation and moved to Charlotte in 2012. He works for Concur Technologies — the expense reporting and travel management software company — as an implementation consultant. Jeff was a member of the Michigan Marching Band while he attended Michigan where he played the trumpet. He has been to two Rose Bowls, an Outback Bowl and an Alamo Bowl with the Marching Band and is a die hard maize and blue fan despite his Spartan upbringing.
Al Kilkka – Treasurer
Al is our newest board member and our new Treasuerer. We weolcome him to the Charlotte Michigan Alumni Board and appreciate his hard work he has already brought to our club.
Tom De Vries – Board Member Emeritus, Student Recruiting & Scholarship Chair
Tom was born in Lansing, MI (too close for comfort to MSU). He grew up in Charlotte and Zeeland, MI. Graduated from Zeeland High School (Jay Riemersma’s alma mater) and has a BSE Aerospace from U-M and an MBA from Western, MI. Wife Nancy (Ferris State)…they got married in Vegas…their 3 sons…Jeff and Andy (Kings Beach, CA – Lake Tahoe) and Joel (Wilmington, NC – Appalachian State Graduate, GO APPS)…all bachelors…will the De Vries name go on??? They moved to Burlington, VT in 1982 and Tom started a U-M Alumni Club there, then moved to Charlotte, NC in 1994. Tom has been associated with the U-M Club of Charlotte for over 10 years as Treasurer and most recently President. He is a Project Manager in Technology at Wells Fargo Bank. He loves to golf and loves all things Michigan. GO BLUE!!!
Ravi Mujumdar – At Large Board Member, Scholarship Committee & Student Recruitment
Ravi graduated in 2000 with a BBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Born and raised 25 minutes from Ann Arbor, Ravi has been a lifelong U-M fan and has been to the Rose Bowl seven times (but has only seen one Michigan victory in those seven trips… however nothing will ever compare to that 1998 game, when U-M won the National Championship!). Ravi moved to Charlotte in 2007 and is an Analytics Manager in the Energy Efficiency group at Duke Energy. He lives in South End and enjoys playing competitive tennis, traveling, and learning other languages. He was a member of the U of Club of Dallas Board from 2002-2004, and has been involved with the U-M Club of Charlotte Board since 2009.
