I’m an avid cook, birder, knitter, and gardener and enjoy yoga. I have two children in their thirties one in New York and one in California. My son is a proud UM graduate in History.
My University of Michigan connection began with my graduate work in French Literature many years ago. Since then, I’ve worked for the University in various capacities for over 25 years. I majored in French and Art History at Swarthmore College, studied abroad in Grenoble, and received a Fulbright to teach English in Strasbourg post graduation. I have taught French for some 12 years at the high school and University level. Allez les bleus! I spent a year of my graduate school teaching English at the Université de Paris. I have led several trips of high school students through France with Putney Student travel, have taken UM students to Italy and love to travel anywhere new. I am retired from my position as Associate Director of the Newnan LSA Academic Advising Center. I was responsible for the daily operations of the center, training all of the new advisors, and worked with the staff on study abroad issues. The best part of my job was meeting with, and talking with, our wonderful UM students.
