I am Italian but teach French literature and culture, and consider myself a citizen of the world as I love to travel and discover new places. I truly enjoy traveling with our alumni as I learn all about their time at UM and how the university has evolved during the years.
Gabriella Scarlatta, Provost and Professor of French at the UM-Dearborn, is thrilled to be hosting Wolverines throughout this Moroccan journey. As a devoted Francophile, she is eager to discover the culture, art, civilization and of course, the food, of this wonderful country. Most of all, through her experience in leading Wolverines throughout the world, she looks forward to meeting new people and sharing her love of travel and adventure with them.
I have never been to Morocco and I am very excited to see the trip sites, including Marrakech, Casablanca and Fez. I’m eager to meet the local people and learn about their culture.
