I have devoted my career to helping students find their academic paths and make the most of their experiences. My focus has always been international, reading scholarship applications for Fulbright, evaluating study abroad programs, welcoming our exchange students, and leading student trips abroad.
I love learning languages and was fortunate enough to take a year of Vietnamese at U-M. It is an extremely difficult tonal language, and I can’t begin to claim that I speak well. It does, however, offer fascinating glimpses into the Vietnamese culture. I traveled to Vietnam some 20 years ago, and I can’t wait to return. Sailing in Ha Long Bay was one of the more beautiful things I’ve ever done.
