  • See the spectacular fjords, coasts, and islands of Scoresby Sund, also known as “Kangertittivaq”, an area containing some of the world’s most impressive scenery and Greenland’s best wildlife viewing
  • In Northeast Greenland National Park enjoy the untouched tundra wilderness, see herds of shaggy musk oxen, boreal fowl of every description preparing to migrate south, polar bears, seals, walrus, and narwhal
  • Visit the modern Inuit village of Ittoqqortoormiit, the only permanent settlement in the region and one of the most remote communities in the world, the village has a wonderful museum, bookstore, handmade crafts, and sled dogs
  • As night falls, the darkening sky becomes a stage for nature’s greatest celestial performance, the Northern Lights. East Greenland is known as one of the best places in the Arctic to view this natural phenomenon
  • Spend time in Reykjavík and Vestfirðir (Westfjords), Iceland seeing exciting Icelandic traditions in Reykjavík and touring the remote and sparsely populated region of Vestfirðir home to deep fjords, whales, seals, and birdlife
