Bold teal and navy text says "Give and Go Blue" next to a graduation cord, with a maize strip along the bottom that says "Student Philanthropy Cord Program."

Give and Go Blue Student Philanthropy Cord Program

You’ve built your story here. Now help write the next chapter by making a gift.

The Give and Go Blue student philanthropy cord program celebrates graduating students who make a class gift in support of the Wolverine community. When you participate, you’ll receive an exclusive cord to wear at graduation as a symbol of your impact and pride. It’s a simple way to honor your time here and help create opportunities for the next generation of Leaders and Best.

What is it?

The Give and Go Blue initiative celebrates graduating students who make a class gift in support of the University by recognizing them with an exclusive silver and white graduation cord.

Who is eligible to participate?

All graduating students who make a class gift of $20.26 or more between July 1, 2025, and April 1, 2026, qualify to receive a philanthropy cord. Unsure if you qualify? Send an email to [email protected] to check.

How do I participate?

Make a class gift of $20.26 or more to the school, college, or unit you’re most passionate about during the eligibility period. Gifts may be directed to any school, college, or unit across the University.

When you give to the Alumni Association, you’re investing directly in the global network you’re about to join after graduation — one that’s nearly 700,000 alumni strong. You can also help provide scholarship support and make programs like Welcome Wednesdays and Forever Go Blue Bash possible for students still on campus.

When and where can I pick up my cord?

The first opportunity to pick up your cord will be Wednesday, April 15, at the Alumni Center during the Alumni Association’s annual student celebration, Forever Go Blue Bash. Additional pickup dates are Thursday, April 16, and Monday, April 20, at the Union from noon to 3 p.m.
