About 60 alumni club and affiliate leaders recently spent two days at the Alumni Center learning from one another and discussing best practices.

The Club and Affiliate Leader Workshop featured panels on engaging young alumni; name, image, and likeness rules around student-athletes; the LEAD Scholars program; social media best practices; volunteer recruitment; and several others. The workshop is held every other year, but this was the first in-person meeting for the group since 2019 due to the pandemic.

There are more than 100 clubs and affiliate groups, and they are all operated entirely by volunteers. A portion of your membership dues to the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan goes to club and affiliate groups to support the many events and activities that connect Wolverines around the world.
