Kidney stones have been increasing by 10% yearly over the last decade in children, and it’s from several causes, according to researchers at Michigan Health Lab. Not drinking enough water, eating processed foods, and eating a large amount of salt are large contributors. Kate Kraft, M.D. M.H.P.E., a pediatric urologist at University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, delves into what kidney stones are, how they form, and what parents can do.
