Race-based disparities in the medical field have long been known, but what impact do they have on menopausal aging? Participant selection bias in women’s health studies may mask earlier onset menopause for Black and Hispanic women. Alexis Reeves, a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University’s School of Medicine discusses the rate of exclusion and factors that are important to consider in research.
