From Rohan:

I plan on going to medical school but I have decided to take a gap year. In this gap year, I have been hired as a post-baccalaureate fellow at The National Institutes of Health. At NIH, I will be working in a research lab conducting some independent research with a clinical focus. In the process of writing my honors thesis in biophysics here at Michigan I have discovered my love for scientific research and I want to integrate that into my career as a physician eventually. That is why I decided to take a year off to focus on research, basically. I will be applying to medical schools in the coming months and hopefully will start at one after the summer of 2018.

I would like to thank the Alumni Club for their support over the past 4 years! The opportunities I had were unparalleled and I would not have been able to attend without the financial support of the club, which is why I encourage continued donations to the scholarship fund so future prospective students can have the same chance that I have.

SARA WILSON, Governors School for Science and Math

The club supported Sara through her junior year, at which time she took time off to consider her future.
