Dawn Dupon-Treasurer

Dawn Dupon

Dawn is a graduate of the University of Michigan College of Engineering, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in Materials Science and Engineering.

During her time in Ann Arbor, Dawn embraced the Michigan experience both academically and beyond the classroom. She was actively involved with the University of Michigan Solar Car Team and rugby team and served as Vice President of Pi Tau Sigma, the national mechanical engineering honor society. An enthusiastic Wolverine sports fan, she regularly attended football and hockey games and had the unforgettable experience of being on campus during the legendary Fab Five basketball era—when basketball tickets were considerably harder to come by!

Originally from Michigan, Dawn relocated to Arizona in 2000 through a career opportunity with Honeywell Aerospace. She later returned to Michigan for six years, during which she volunteered with the University of Michigan Alumni Club of Grand Rapids, supporting alumni recruiting initiatives and strengthening connections within the Wolverine community.

Professionally, Dawn serves as Senior Director of Legal Operations at Honeywell Aerospace, bringing extensive experience in organizational leadership, strategic operations, and cross-functional program management. Throughout her career, she has held diverse roles spanning new product development engineering, quality and Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, information technology, contract management, and supplier transition management. She also established and led a program management office dedicated to supplier transition initiatives and holds the prestigious Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute.

Dawn brings a strong foundation in financial and operational discipline, organizational accountability, and ethical leadership to her role as Treasurer. Her experience managing complex programs and collaborating across diverse business functions positions her to support the club’s financial stewardship, operational effectiveness, and long-term growth.

For Dawn, serving on the Phoenix Alumni Club Board is an opportunity to give back to the university that has played such a meaningful role in her personal and professional journey. She is passionate about fostering connections among fellow Wolverines, supporting the continued success of the chapter, and strengthening the University of Michigan alumni community throughout the Valley.

Dawn’s Michigan Why

The University of Michigan has played such an important role in shaping both my life and my career, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to give back to a university that means so much to me.

Having previously volunteered with the Michigan alumni community in Grand Rapids, I know firsthand how rewarding it is to stay connected with fellow Wolverines. Serving as Treasurer of the Phoenix Alumni Club allows me to combine my professional experience with my passion for Michigan, supporting the chapter’s continued growth while helping build a strong, engaged alumni community here in Arizona.

For me, being a Wolverine is a lifelong connection, and I’m excited to contribute to that legacy.
