The Center for Complex Particle Systems (COMPASS), led by the University of Michigan, will aim to deliver on the potential of nanotechnology across multiple industries. One of the major technological goals of  COMPASS is to design materials that are more than the sum of their parts and can be rapidly translated to manufacturing using 3D printing.
