Highlights

  • Admire the vastness and diversity of Canada—starting in Vancouver, traversing across five provinces—through the Canadian Rockies and across expansive prairies—arriving at the shores of Lake Ontario.
  • Make stops in Kamloops, Jasper, and Edmonton and admire the dramatic and ever-changing landscape as the train navigates the Canadian Rockies—rugged peaks, steep cliffs, and the extraordinary panoramic views they provide.
  • A Rockies highlight will include Hell’s Gate, the most slender part of the Fraser River which is aptly named for its narrow cliff walls that create a funnel for hundreds of millions of liters of water rushing through every minute
  • Enjoy the scenes of boundless prairies as the train continues through Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, to Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the confluence of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers, and keep an eye out for wildlife along the way
This is an exclusive U-M departure operated by Orbridge.

Fun fact

My very first time in an airplane was when I was 18…and it was to go skydiving! I have officiated six weddings, including one international one, and I am also an uncle to nine amazing future Wolverines.

U-M Role

In my role as an advancement professional inside the University of Michigan community, I fundraise in the Central U.S., primarily in Chicagoland and Nashville. Specifically, I meet with alumni, parents, and friends who make meaningful gifts to their favorite cause(s) at Michigan while building a long-term relationship between them and the university.

Trip Experience

I am excited to connect with fellow members of the University of Michigan community while exploring a beautiful part of the world via a historical mode of transportation.
