Walloween: A Kickoff to Halloween
Kick off the Halloween season and surround yourself with breathtaking fall foliage during this family-friendly getaway at Camp Michigania.
Just south of Petoskey, along beautiful Walloon Lake, sits Camp Michigania, the home away from home for Michigan alums and their families.
This October, join us for Walloween, a family-oriented weekend getaway that promises to get you in the Halloween spirit. This spooktacular event includes lodging and meals and is packed with various activities for all ages, including Michigania classics like archery, rock polishing, boat rides, and hikes. There’s also a host of Walloween-specific activities, such as a haunted hayride, Halloween dance, costume contest, pumpkin carving, and of course, trick-or-treating.
Oct. 2-5 (Thursday-Sunday)
• First adult: $675 $625
• Each additional camper: $575 $525

*This event is open to families on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be no cost or programming for children under the age of 3.
Additional fees may apply. Save $50 with early-bird pricing until Sept. 1, 2025.
Cancellation of a confirmed reservation 30 or more days before the reservation date entitles you to a full refund less $50. If you cancel between 14 and 29 days before the event, you are entitled to a 50% refund. If you cancel fewer than 14 days before the event, no refund will be given.

Test your aim at our archery range. Lessons are available for campers of all ages.
Boat and Trail Rides
Take in the beautiful sights of Walloon Lake and the nature of Michigania.
Campfires
Campfire locations include lakeside or in a clearing in the woods. You bring the conversation, and we’ll provide the s’mores!
Ceramics, Arts, and Crafts
Create Halloween-themed artwork and mementos of your time at Michigania.
Family Games & Tournaments
The Activity Room in the Education Center offers a home for family game nights and board-game/card tournaments. Games and cards may also be checked out for use in your cabin.
Guided Hikes
Explore Michigania on a guided hike that will take you to different beautiful camp locales.
Halloween-Themed Events
Enjoy the scenery of camp on a haunted hayride, and show off your Halloween spirit with a costume contest and pumpkin carving. A Halloween dance and trick-or-treating are also on the itinerary during this getaway.
Horseback Riding
With our pack of horses and lessons for all levels of ability, enjoy a recreational ride or hit the trails.
Rock Polishing
Find a Petoskey Stone around camp or bring a rock with you and take it to our nature center to enhance its beauty.
