Our three Camp Michigania locations provide Alumni Association members and their families unique, private settings for educational and recreational experiences, on top of promoting connections between current and future alumni.
University faculty often lead on-site discussions, and there are always organized outdoor activities to take part in. Singles, couples and families are all welcome! Dates and fees for 2013 have been announced. Register today.
Camp Michigania Walloon
Situated on shores of beautiful Walloon Lake in northern Michigan near Petoskey, this original Michigania site has been a sought-after destination for University of Michigan families since 1961, and hosts summer, fall and winter programs.
As the popularity of this camp has grown, additional cabins have been built and the summer season has been extended to accommodate approximately 100 families each week.
Camp Michigania East
Opened in 1973 and located within Pointe O’Pines—a private camp in upstate New York’s picturesque Adirondack Mountains—this site welcomes approximately 50 families during each of its sessions at the end of August.
On our 25-acre peninsula, you’ll marvel at the breathtaking views of crystal-clear Brant Lake, and will be able to participate in activities such as archery, canoeing, horseback riding and more.
Camp Michigania West
In the mountains of Northern California, nestled deep in the Stanislaus National Forest at Pinecrest is where we share space during the month of June with our friends from UC-Berkeley at the Lair of the Golden Bear.
In addition to sports activities like tennis, ping-pong, and fishing, you can take part in campfire shows, sing-alongs, and music lessons, while tie-dye, T-shirt painting and ceramics crafting are sure to bring out the artistic spirit in everyone.
