Professor Emeritus of Fisheries and Aquaculture

Fun fact

I have been playing basketball on campus with older and younger players since 1979 and still play three days a week.

U-M Role

I am retired, but taught in the School for Environment and Sustainability as a professor of fisheries in aquaculture, and also served as director of Michigan Sea Grant. My research interests are fish ecology and aquaculture.

Trip Experience

I learned about Charles Darwin and the Galapagos finches, and as well much about the offshore fishery in South America. I will really enjoy seeing firsthand both terrestrial and marine organisms in that area.
