Trip Experience

As both a historian and the son of a World War II veteran, I’ve wanted to visit the beaches at Normandy since I was a child. I was also lucky enough to know one former G.I. who survived the first wave on Omaha Beach, and I hope to lay a wreath on the grave of a good friend’s uncle who did not, and is buried in the American Cemetery.
