I have climbed most of the major mountains in the Pyrenees in France on my bike and have participated in the amateur version of a stage of the Tour de France called L’etape du Tour eight times. I am a bike nut and love to explore new places on two wheels. I have performed on every continent including Antarctica!
I am in the School of Music, Theater & Dance in the percussion department as well as in Literature, Science & the Arts-Residential College. I teach percussion lessons—most often on drumset as well as percussion ensemble and world percussion. I teach Afro-Cuban Drumming and a class entitled Found Instruments at the Residential College. I am also the Director of the Center for World Performance Studies.
