I’m a space physicist and space engineer that studies how the Sun influences the Earth’s space environment and the planets. I teach undergraduate and graduate courses including a first-year course for non-science majors called Introduction to Space Weather and this year a graduate course on Space Policy.
Eclipses are one of the natural wonders of the world and the 2027 eclipse will last over 3 times longer than the 2026 eclipse so more opportunity to experience all the other worldly changes of having the moon completely block out the Sun in the middle of the day.
