CELIA KEENAN-BOLGER, ’00, found her passion for acting while growing up in Detroit. She performed in a stage adaptation of “Annie Get Your Gun” by the time she was 6 years old. Her love for acting turned into a prolific career across TV, film, and stage. Her performance as Scout in the 2018 Broadway production of “To Kill a Mockingbird” earned Keenan-Bolger the 2019 Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Play. Read “On Broadway” from Michigan Alum magazine for further insight into why the role meant so much to her.
