Researchers from the University of Michigan, while using the European Space Agency’s X-ray telescope XMM-Newton, spotted a peculiar occurrence at a black hole. This act prevents the galaxy surrounding the black hole from forming new stars, providing insight into how black holes and galaxies co-evolve.
