According to a study completed by researchers at the University of Michigan, indicators of high school grades and standardized test scores that consider the levels of school, neighborhood, and family resources available to students are strongly associated with students’ success in college. With the e abundance of inequities across high schools and neighborhoods across the country, many colleges and universities are taking a more holistic approach to admissions to be more fair throughout the process.
