Study Shows Dementia More Common in Older Adults With Vision Issues

Researchers from the Kellogg Eye Center at Michigan Medicine noted during a trial with almost 3,000 eligible participants that findings suggest there could be a link between vision and dementia. Notably, older adults with visual impairments had a significantly higher risk of developing dementia. Olivia Killeen, M.D., M.S., discusses prioritizing vision health and whether improved vision health can increase the chances of reducing dementia risks.
