Oral food challenges are the standard when diagnosing a food allergy, but they often come with the risk of anaphylaxis, a severe allergic reaction that may include a skin rash, nausea, vomiting, difficulty breathing, and shock. A new method developed by U-M researchers can help predict anaphylaxis before it becomes clinically relevant.
