With the onset of restrictions for teens going through gender transition, it is becoming increasingly difficult for them to receive the care they need. Researchers from the University of Michigan suggest that with these new restrictions, 25% of families with teens in the midst of gender transition have to travel hours to receive care. Laura Zebib, M.P.H., discusses the overcoming of barriers accounted with out-of-state travel and the lack of access to care across the country.
