Federal disaster declarations for weather-related events have almost doubled in the last 20 years, and cities such as Ann Arbor have been identified as “climate havens,” but are these cities disaster-proof? In an article for The Conversation, researchers from the U-M Center for Social Solutions explore the concept of “climate havens,” and some of the challenges these cities might face that will make them less desirable to climate migrants.
