Could future opioid overdoses, fatalities, and other harms of opioid addiction be prevented if hospital emergency departments made better use of effective medications for opioid addiction? A research team led by Thuy Nguyen of U-M’s School of Public Health seems to believe so. Nguyen discusses the findings from their research.
