From inadequate staffing issues to physical and verbal abuse, the well-being of nurses is a serious concern. According to a new U-M School of Nursing survey, 94 percent of Michigan nurses report feeling emotionally exhausted, with younger nurses (under 45) more likely to report burnout. The research team behind the poll comments on the findings, hopeful the results will bring more attention to this alarming statistic before the Michigan Legislature considers healthcare staffing legislation.
