When it comes to scoliosis, disparities persist in all facets: research, awareness, education, and care. Despite its prevalence, scoliosis can often go undiagnosed or get diagnosed late, which can have serious implications. In a call to action for more comprehensive scoliosis awareness and care, Canadian and U.S. researchers, including from U-M, comment on the gaps in healthcare and what needs to be done to better aid this underserved population.
