Welcome to the Michigan Triangle Alumni Club (M-TAC), serving members of the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan in the Triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill) of North Carolina. All members of the Alumni Association living in the area are automatically members of M-TAC, and there are no additional dues to pay. M-TAC events (and our e-mail list) are open to all former students or Michigan fans in the area.
M-TAC is a resource for former students, prospective students, and fans of the University of Michigan in the area. We provide opportunities for social interaction, networking, learning, volunteer work, student recruiting, and support for students from the local area. Some of our activities in the past couple of years have included:
- Football watch parties in the fall and basketball watch parties in the spring
- Scholarship awards to U-M students from the Triangle area
- Annual trip to a Durham Bulls game
- Annual trip to the Carolina Hurricanes-Detroit Red Wings game
- Alumni mixers
- Visits to local gardens and arboretums
- Volunteer opportunities at Ronald McDonald House, 3Bluebirds Farm, and other local charitable organizations
Football/Basketball Game Watching
Game Watches are held at the Rookie’s Sports Bar, 4911 Central Park Drive, Durham, Remember to bring along some cash or use Zelle to buy tickets for our raffles that support the M-TAC Scholarship Fund. Our friends at the Rookie’s contribute a portion of sales to our scholarship fund. We hope you will join us to cheer and sing The Victors to support the Wolverines and our scholarship fund.
