Get Involved in Club Leadership

Looking to get involved as a volunteer club leader? A great first step is to attend our Annual Meeting which is held each summer generally in July.   All Club members are invited to the Annual Meeting and specifically encouraged to nominate and elect the Board of Directors; review, amend and approve the Club Bylaws; and help shape the Club’s tentative agenda and programming for the upcoming year.   In this open meeting, the Board of Directors and all interested Club members also discuss and vote on key Club business, review and assess past and future events, and lay the foundation for the upcoming year by facilitating meetings between the outgoing and incoming Officers, Chairpersons, and other Club leadership. Once you become an active participant in the Club as a Committee Member or “Friend of the Board,” we encourage you to run for a position on the Board of Directors, which includes the Club Officers and Committee Chairs.

For a description of the Board of Directors positions, the Club’s current Standing Committees, and the expectations and commitment requirements for the Board of Directors and Committee Members, please see Exhibits A and B of our current Club Bylaws (pp. 5-8).
