Headed to Indianapolis this weekend and want to gather with fellow Wolverines? Here’s a rundown of some of the events taking place around the Big Ten Football Championship Game.
For the second year in a row, Michigan is headed to Indianapolis to play for a Big Ten championship in football! This year, following a 12-0 regular season, the Wolverines will face the 8-4 Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Before the game, a number of events are taking place, including a block party hosted by the U-M Club of Indianapolis. Learn more, and check out the full rundown of events:

Thursday, Dec. 1
6:30 p.m. | U-M Club of Indianapolis Holiday Party
Enjoy an evening with local Michigan alumni at the Murat Shrine Center in Downtown Indianapolis. This year’s guest speaker is MGoBlog editor Seth Fisher.
Friday, Dec. 2
4–9 p.m. | Big Ten Friday Pregame: Georgia Street Block Party
The Friday Pregame will feature local Indianapolis food and beverages, a DJ, and live bands to kick off the championship weekend festivities.
Saturday, Dec. 3
9:30 a.m. | Michigan Marching Band Rehearsal
Open to the public, watch the Michigan Marching Band get ready for the game at Franklin Central High School (6215 S Franklin Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46259).
10 a.m.–8 p.m. | Big Ten Tailgate Party on Georgia Street
With free admission to the public, the Big Ten Tailgate Party will include food and beverage sales, video screens featuring college football games throughout the day, a live band and DJ, and more.
10 a.m.–8 p.m. | Big Ten Fan Fest
More than 200,000 square feet in the Indiana Convention Center will be dedicated to the Big Ten Fan Fest, featuring interactive games, entertainment, giveaways, food and beverages, and much more. The Michigan Marching Band is scheduled to stop by at 6 p.m. for a performance.
Each Big Ten Football Championship Game ticket grants complimentary access to the Fan Fest, and Fan Fest tickets may also be purchased on-site.
11 a.m. | U-M Club of Indianapolis Pre-Game Block Party
Join the U-M Club of Indianapolis for a pre-game block party with Michigan alumni, family, friends, and fans. The adjacent establishments on this block are a short walk from Lucas Oil Stadium and will be wrapped in maize and blue:
- O’Reilly’s Irish Bar (36 S Pennsylvania St)
Opens at 11 a.m. | Headquarters for the U-M Club of Indianapolis - Pier 48 (130 S Pennsylvania St, Suite B)
Opens at 11 a.m. | On the corner of Pennsylvania St and Georgia St - Pearl Street Pizzeria & Pub (65 E Pearl St)
Opens at 12 p.m. | On the corner next to O’Reilly’s - Howl at the Moon (20 E Georgia St)
Opens at 2 p.m. | One block closer to Lucas Oil Stadium
8:17 p.m. | Big Ten Football Championship Game
The Wolverines will square off with the Boilermakers with the Big Ten title on the line. The Alumni Association does not have tickets available for purchase, but you can visit the Alumni Ticket Exchange if you’re looking for seats or have extras.
