After beating Ohio State last week, Michigan will take on Iowa in its first-ever Big Ten Championship Game on Saturday night in Indianapolis. Headed to Indy and want to gather with fellow alumni and fans? Here’s a rundown of some of the events taking place this weekend:

4–7:30 p.m. | Friday Pregame – Georgia Street Block Party

The Friday Pregame on Georgia Street will feature music by DJ Lockstar, followed by The Doo! Band. Enjoy free food from Wendy’s, or purchase food or drinks from various vendors.

5-9 p.m. | Fan Fest

More than 200,000 square feet in the Indiana Convention Center will be dedicated to the 2021 Fan Fest, featuring interactive games, entertainment, performances by participating team bands, giveaways, food and beverages, and much more. Each Big Ten Football Championship Game ticket grants complimentary access to the Fan Fest. Fan Fest tickets may also be purchased on-site.


9:30 a.m. | Michigan Marching Band Rehearsal

Open to the public, watch the Michigan Marching Band get ready for the game at Franklin Central High School (6215 S Franklin Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46259).

10 a.m.–8 p.m. | Fan Fest

The 2021 Fan Fest continues on Saturday. Stop by at 5:15 p.m. as the Michigan Marching Band performs at the Fan Fest Pep Rally.

10 a.m.–8 p.m. | Tail Greater Party on Georgia Street

With free admission to the public, the Tail Greater Party on Georgia Street will feature food trucks, live music, photo opportunities, and the World Famous St. Elmo’s Shrimp Eating Contest at 3 p.m. Local bands will take the stage throughout the day, including the Chamber Music Band and Karma Band in addition to DJ Lockstar.

12 p.m. | U-M Club of Indianapolis Pre-Game Gathering

Join the U-M Club of Indianapolis for a pre-game gathering at O’Reilly’s (36 S Pennsylvania St) and its neighboring adjacent bars, Coaches Tavern (next door) and Pearl Street Pizza (65 E Pearl St). The Indianapolis club and Alumni Association will be giving away branded items/swag for you to take into the game. 8:17 p.m. | Big Ten Championship Game

The Wolverines take on the Hawkeyes with the Big Ten title on the line. The Alumni Association does not have tickets available for purchase, but you can visit the Alumni Ticket Exchange if you’re looking for seats or have extras.
