Presented by School of Social Work

As a profession, social work has often been complicit in the building and sustaining of the carceral state, but social work scholars are considering the field’s potential to dismantle it. Join the School of Social Work and the editors of the new title Abolition and Social Work: Possibilities, Paradoxes, and the Practice of Community Care for a book talk exploring whether and how abolitionist principles and politics can be incorporated into social work.

This virtual event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
