Thinking Outside The Doctor’s Office: How Older Adults Use Urgent Care & In-Store Clinics

When today’s older adults grew up, urgent care centers and clinics inside retail stores didn’t exist. But most of them have now embraced these non-traditional sites for getting medical care, a new national poll finds. In fact, according to the University of Michigan National Poll on Healthy Aging, in the past two years, 60% of people aged 50 to 80 have visited an urgent care clinic or a clinic based in a retail store.
