Getting screened for cervical cancer isn’t exactly an enjoyable experience, and going to a follow-up appointment–which can involve procedures costing hundreds of dollars–is considerably less enjoyable. But a new U-M study shows if every eligible person did get the full screening and follow-up tests recommended for them, up to 23 percent fewer people would be diagnosed with cervical cancer at all.
