According to a new study, Hispanic individuals who are hospitalized with respiratory failure are five times more likely than non-Hispanic patients to receive deep sedation while on a ventilator. The study is the first to identify what may be driving worse outcomes for Hispanic patients who are critically ill with respiratory failure.
