This year worldwide, the effects of torrential downpours have been felt. From earlier this month, where Zagora, Greece, saw the equivalent of a year’s worth of rain in a 24-hour span, to devastating floods in New York this past July, it seems like catastrophic rainfall is the new norm. Mohammed Ombadi, assistant professor at the University of Michigan, dives deeper into the role global warming plays in this and how we should adapt to our new reality.
